Hello!
My name is Parker Webber, a graphic artist from Phoenixville and an art educator at Reading High School.
Before beginning my career in education, I worked as a graphic artist for over eight years, collaborating with both domestic and international clients across a wide range of creative projects. My background in professional design continues to shape my approach to teaching, combining industry experience with a passion for visual communication and creative problem-solving.

Philosophy
As educators, we are constantly challenged to define and support student success. In the art classroom, success looks different for every student. It may be technical growth, increased confidence, a willingness to take risks, or the ability to communicate an idea visually with clarity and intention.
I believe expression through art is a fundamental part of the human experience. Fine arts education gives students a structured space to explore identity, perspective, and creativity while developing technical skill. Choice, exploration, imagination, and even failure are essential components of the creative process. When students are given ownership over their work, they form deeper connections to their art and to the community around them.
I view the art classroom as a studio community, one built on respect, thoughtful critique, and shared growth. Every creation deserves care and consideration, and every student deserves to feel heard. My role is to guide students through both the discipline and freedom of artistic practice, helping them understand that growth often comes through revision, persistence, and reflection.
I recognize that I am one part of a much larger journey in each student’s life. My goal is to create an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and capable, where they can grow as artists while gaining the confidence and resilience that will serve them beyond the classroom.
