I/O 2019
Brand and Creative Direction
Google I/O is a developer festival that was held May 7–9 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA. This year, Google hosted over 12,000 attendees. With activities from tech activations, an arcade, and live performances from The Flaming Lips, this surpassed I/O 2018s as Googles largest event at Mountainview.
My role evolved from mine in 2018. As a Co Lead on the project, I was allowed to be part of the decision making earlier in the process. As well as similar responsibilities from the previous years, I was in charge of 8 sandbox domes and airclads graphics. I was also plugged into alot of the scenic choices for the structural graphics. Just as in 2019, I was also in charge of the wayfinding, this year incorporating an AR system to the street signs.
